Meet Michele Dortch

Founder, Strategic Director

Michele Dortch brings more than 14 years of experience to her role as Founder and Strategic Director of Write to Incite™.

Prior to founding Write to Incite, Ms. Dortch spent over a decade in the HR/Learning and Development field where she developed her expertise in the areas of adult learning, leadership, change management and organizational effectiveness. She is the Founding Editor of The Integrated Mother, a website she created to serve career-minded moms juggling work and family. She also contributes to the blog, Moms of Hue.

In addition, Ms. Dortch’s written work has appeared in a variety of in-print and online publications including Redbook, SUCCESS magazine, Work It Mom!, Hybrid Mom, Divine Caroline and Examiner.com where she served as the Phoenix Working Moms feature writer. She has been a contributor to two books, This Day in the Life: Diaries from Women Across America (Three Rivers Press, 2005) and The Business Mom Guide Book: More Life, Less Overwhelm for Mom Entrepreneurs (Wyatt-MacKenzie Publishing, 2006).

Ms. Dortch received a B.A. English from San Diego State University and a M.A. Organization Development from Fielding Graduate University. She also completed professional coach training at The Coaches Institute (CTI) and graduated from the Management Development for Entrepreneurs (MDE) executive training program at UCLA. She is an adjunct professor instructing undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in English, Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior.

Michele currently serves as the VP, Communication for the San Diego chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). She is also an active member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

Although Ms. Dortch works with clients around the country, she currently lives in San Diego, CA. A self-confessed “nerd,” her interests include technology, social media, psychology, and running.
